Dr. Tamara MacIntyre MS, DC, DNM currently serves as Dean of Clinical Education at Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California. Holding both Doctor of Chiropractic and Master’s degrees in Neuroscience her transition from practice to education was seamless. Graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. MacIntyre received two of the highest awards a Palmer College graduate can obtain; The Most Outstanding Graduate and the Virgil V. Strang Award for excellence in the philosophy of Chiropractic.
Dr. MacIntrye is the Vice President of the Association of Chiropractic College Clinic Directors where she provides critical work into the educational experience of our current students. Having taught eleven courses, ranging from business to pediatrics during her time at Life Chiropractic College West it is no surprise she was awarded Administrator of Year in 2018 recognizing her outstanding commitment to her students. Most importantly, she coordinates the critical transition of her incoming students into practice-ready chiropractors in the Monte H Greenawalt Health Center.
Prior to taking her position at Life Chiropractic College West, Dr. MacIntyre practiced in Ottawa, Canada. Co-founder of The Prana Group with her wife Dr. Monique Andrews, Dr. MacIntyre was recognized as a leading authority in chiropractic and functional medicine. Patients travelled from all over the world to receive her care and access the depth of her expertise.
Known for her power, intelligence and grace, Dr. MacIntyre is a role model for many and particularly the young women in the profession. Touted as a ‘clinical genius’ by students, her wisdom and insight pervade every facet of their education. She is one of few who have the ability to create a massive shift in consciousness simply by being present.
